MA SJC Agrees To Hear Crucial Foreclosure Standing Case In HSBC Bank v. Matt.
Thank you Attorney Russell, it makes perfect sense to me and I am only a homeowner and not an attorney. I have explained this to folks using the “what comes first the chicken or the egg” concept. I explained this when I testied before the finance committe at the state house a few weeks ago. How simple is the concept really that unless someone is injured they don’t have standing (the right) to bring an action (claim to foreclose on someones home) into the land court. I applaud you and Jamie Ranney and other attorneys who are fighting for the people in Massachusetts against wrongful foreclosures. This case could be as good as we hope the Easton will turn out in the SJC of Massachusetts. It surely is a great time to live in Massachusetts when many other states just don’t get it. Of course a thanks goes out to Attorney General Coakley for her recent decision related to MERS but we know that wouldn’t have happened without Register John O’Brien and his staff and all of the efforts of the fine people who have pushed and pushed for justice.
